It’s confirmed: Miley Cyrus and Kanye West collaborated on a remix of his “Black Skinhead” immediately after the MTV Video Music Awards last month.
I reported the rumored studio work at the time, and producer Mike WiLL Made It made it official on Wednesday.
Appearing on “RapFix Live,” the producer revealed that Cyrus “went right to the studio with Kanye” following the VMAs.
“[‘Black Skinhead’] is about done, we’re just touching the beat up a little bit,” he said.
“It’s sounding crazy.”
Nicki Minaj is being sued for allegedly
ripping off her 2012 hit song “Starships”
from underground EDM artist Clive Tanaka.
On Tuesday, Tanaka filed a lawsuit against Minaj, the single’s writers and producer claiming copyright infringement on his 2011 track “Neu Chicago.”
His lawyer says, “We believe they are similar to the point that it is nearly impossible for it to be a coincidence.”
I have reach out to a rep for Minaj for comment.
Lady Gaga opens up in the October issue of Elle about why she uses a stage name, her early struggles, and recovering from hip surgery.
The singer tells the mag, “I am — ( Stefani is )— a perpetually tortured artist. That’s why I changed my name. I can’t be her in public.
She would be a mess!”
On people questioning the authenticity of her stories about her youth, Gaga offers,
“Everyone is so cynical — that I can’t purely love my fans, or share an honest story about my past, without someone asking me if I really, truly struggled.”
“Do you know how much dirt I ate? Do you know the men I had to crawl through, the people that disrespected my body, my mind, my heart?” shares the star.
As for how she went about recreating herself after her hip surgery, Gaga reveals, “I went to look back to myself being 19, with all my Warhol books and all my Yoko Ono and John Lennon CDs, my Rolling Stones CDs and my Bowie… and I said, what would she want me to do right now?”
The issue hits newsstand on September 24.
Chrissy Teigen bares her love for John Legend — and more — in a still from his “All of Me” video shoot.
The supermodel’s exposed breast is on display in the photograph, which director Nabil posted on his Tumblr and tweeted ( see uncensored version below ).
Teigen retweeted the picture, “I figure you can’t be suspended from a retweet.”
Earlier this year, the Sports Illustrated beauty celebrated a Twitter milestone by posting an uncensored, fully nude picture of herself being spray tanned .
Legend wrote “All of Me” about Teigen for his upcoming album Love in the Future .
Kendall Jenner turns 18 on November 3.
A number of outlets are getting a little… creepy about the milestone.
TMZ posted one of the teenager’s recent, skin-baring modeling photos on Wednesday, noting, “Kendall Jenner –
53 Days until she turns 18. Not that we’re counting.”
On Thursday, HollywoodLife tweeted the same shot with the phrase, “To all those wondering, Kendall Jenner turns 18 in 52 days.”
It looks like the countdown will only intensify as Jenner’s birthday gets closer.
The question: Is it pervy and wrong for these news sites to be salivating over a 17-year-old turning “legal” soon?
Back in 2004, the Internet got all hot and bothered over the 18th birthdays of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen , who had
grown up in the public eye as child actors.
Now the Internet seems to be hyperventilating over the date when Jenner, who grew up in the public eye as a reality TV star, is finally a legal adult.
And we’re guessing it has nothing to do with her rights to vote or buy cigarettes.
Obviously, Jenner is not camera- or publicity-shy, and there’s nothing wrong with posting pictures that she herself has shared.
Even more obviously, sex sells, and Gossip Cop — and every other outlet — benefits from racy content involving celebrities.
Miley Cyrus , another recent child star, has been the biggest story in entertainment for three weeks — and it wasn’t for her vocals during the VMAs .
But the “53 Days!… 52 Days!…” countdown to Jenner being “legal” just seems… icky.
Jennette McCurdy opens up about her new relationship with NBA star Andre Drummond in a thoughtful, candid op-ed for the Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy blog.
In her essay, the former “iCarly” star details how her romance with the Detroit Pistons player progressed from Twitter, to texting, to eventually meeting in person, and also muses on our culture’s obsessive need to “share” everything in one’s life on social media nowadays.
McCurdy reveals she was anxious about hanging out with Drummond for the first time after their Twitter and texting correspondence, sharing, “A few weeks after we started talking, Andre told me he was going to come visit California. I was excited. Then, as his visit crept closer, I began to feel a little unnerved. What if my fears of the overhype of cyberspace played out in my life?”
She continues, “What if the person I had built up in my head was different than the person I’d soon be sitting across from? What if technology aided and enhanced our conversations to the point where we felt crippled without it? What if two screens cannot properly replicate two humans after all?”
“Turns out, they can’t,” writes McCurdy, adding, “Overall, the Andre Drummond I got to know in person is the same person he projects online, but it’s important to remember that the image
displayed through a screen is in fact just that – a display.”
Fortunately with Drummond, McCurdy says the real person she came to know was only more interesting than his social media “display.”
So, then why share anything about their relationship on social media?
McCurdy reasons, “Well, because it’s fun! It’s like when you get a piece of good news and just have to pick up the phone and call a friend. There are some things that just feel right to share.”
The “Sam & Cat” star adds that social media “can be like a little scrapbook for your personal life,” but that it often gets confused for more than that in our present culture.
McCurdy writes, “We log into a social network and we’re provided with a prompt. Twitter’s prompt is ‘what’s happening,’ while Facebook is a somewhat bossier ‘write something.’ BE CUTE, social media tells us. BE CLEVER. BE A STAR. LIVE YOUR LIFE IN A WAY THAT MAKES YOU SEEM LIKE
EVERY MOVE YOU MAKE IS INTERESTING. The fact that an app cares so sincerely about us causes us to assume that our every action is a mini milestone surely worthy of blasting out the people we somehow believe care half as much about ourselves as we do.”
Rion Paige is a star in the making, Simon Cowell declared on the premiere of “The X Factor” on Wednesday.
The 13-year-old, who revealed she’s largely blind in her right eye and has a disability, arthrogryposis, that has left her with limited use of her hands, proved that her medical issues haven’t stopped her from living a full — and musical — life.
Paige performed Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away” and received a standing ovation from the entire panel.
“Rion, I’m just so impressed right now, and I cannot believe the struggles that you’ve had and how positive you are,” Demi Lovato told her.
Paulina Rubio said, “Music heals everything, and I’m honored to live this with you.”
And Kelly Rowland told Paige, “Rion, I just witnessed passion. I think that’s what I loved most about it. Just everything about you is so incredible.”
But it was Cowell who was most effusive in his praise, telling the contestant, “I think you’re literally extraordinary. I really do.”
“I remember the day I met Carrie Underwood and I remember predicting this girl was going to go on and do special things with her life,” the former “American Idol” judge went on, “and I’m gonna say the same thing about you, Rion.”
“I’m gonna remember this audition for a long, long time,” continued Cowell, adding later, “This is the easiest yes I’ve ever given anybody in my life.”
The “America’s Got Talent” Season 8
finalists were revealed on Wednesday!
As Gossip Cop reported, a dozen acts
competed during Top 12 Night on Tuesday, with Forte getting a standing ovation for its rendition of “My Heart Will Go On,” and the judges declaring Kenchi Ebina’s afterlife-themed performance “brilliant.”
But with no judges choice this week, the fate of the contestants was determined solely based on viewers’ votes — and there were some shockers.
So, which six acts will get to compete in the finals?
– Dancer Kenichi Ebina
– Singer Cami Bradley
– Comedian Taylor Williams
– Opera trio Forte
– Country singer Jimmy Rose
– Magician Collins Key
Some of the results left the judges stunned, particularly when the KriStef Brothers , the comedic balancing act , were cut, followed by Rose beating out child ballroom dancers D’Angelo & Amanda, and shadow dancers Catapult Entertainment being eliminated over Key.
Lille McCloud received the first standing ovation of the season on Wednesday’s “X Factor” premiere, and brought two judges to tears in the process.
The 54-year-old mother of three and
grandmother of seven wowed the panel with not only her youthful looks, but her chillingly beautiful voice on CeCe Winans ’ “Alabaster Box.”
“That was unbelievable, lady,” declared new judge Paulina Rubio.
Fellow newbie Kelly Rowland , with tears in her eyes, asked McCloud, “Where you been?
Where you been hiding? The fact that you sang to people a song they didn’t know and you could feel it… You blessed us.”
Simon Cowell told her, “I think you have, honestly, an incredible voice. You absolutely nailed it. It really was that good.”
And Demi Lovato choked back her own tears to tell McCloud, “Oh my god. Ripped my heart out of my chest. I feel like I’m listening to Whitney [Houston] and maybe your time wasn’t supposed to happen until now.
“The easiest yes I’ve said in this entire competition,” said the returning judge.
Lady Gaga opened up on Wednesday’s “Watch What Happens Live” about
sex, bisexuality and drugs in a no holds barred interview with Andy Cohen.
Asked by a viewer what woman she’d like to hook up with, the “Applause” said, “Well, I’ve taken a few dips in the lady pond. I like girls… I know people think I just say things to be shocking, but I actually do like p**sy. It just depends on whose p**sy it is.”
Gaga also revealed the craziest place she’s had sex, talked about using the drug Molly and revealed her favorite “Real Housewives” stars during the sit-down.
