Sinead O’Connor Writes Open Letter to Miley Cyrus: You’re Being Prostituted

image

Sinead O’Connor has written an open letter to Miley Cyrus, advising the young singer to stop letting herself be “exploited” for her “sexual appeal” instead of developing her artistic talents.
The controversial Irish singer-songwriter is reaching out to Cyrus after the “We Can’t Stop” performer told Rolling Stone that O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” music video partly inspired her own salacious “Wrecking Ball.”
Taking the tone of a loving but “extremely concerned” mother, O’Connor tells Cyrus,
“The music business doesn’t give a sh*t about you, or any of us. They will prostitute you for all you are worth, and cleverly make you think its what YOU wanted.”
“You have enough talent that you don’t need to let the music business make a prostitute of you,”
states O’Connor. “You shouldn’t let them make a fool of you either. Don’t think for a moment that any of them give a flying f*ck about you. They’re there for the money… we’re there for the music.”
The full letter is intense and definitely worth a read. Click here to read full letter.

Jennifer Lawrence Says “Go F*ck Yourself” to Anyone Who Tells Her to Diet

image

Jennifer Lawrence talks about being called fat, stuttering at the Oscars, and loving Cheez-Its in a new cover interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK.
The actress says she heard criticism for stumbling during her acceptance speech at the Academy Awards earlier this year.
She tells the magazine, “[The other person said] other people are getting up and owning the stage and you sound like a stuttering idiot. Pull it together.’ And I said, ‘I’m not doing it on purpose, I’m uncomfortable and when people
get uncomfortable they resort to their sh*t. I make awkward jokes and stutter.’”
“That was actually a moment when I really wanted it to be special. That was not the time I wanted to be the Down-home Girl. I wanted to be graceful,” explains Lawrence.
And despite her critical acclaim and
commercial success, the box office star still feels the sting of body shaming from when she began in show business.
Lawrence says, “I was young. It was just the kind of sh*t that actresses have to go through.
Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn’t lose a certain amount of weight.”
“They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked, and told me to use them as motivation for my diet,” recalls the Hunger Games star.
And it’s still an issue for some people.
Lawrence reveals, “[Someone brought it up recently]… they thought that because of the way my career had gone, it wouldn’t still hurt me. That somehow, after I won an Oscar, I’m above it all.”
“‘You really still care about that?’ Yeah. I was a little girl. I was hurt. It doesn’t matter what accolades you get. I know it’ll never happen to me again. If anybody even tries to whisper the
word ‘diet,’ I’m like, ‘You can go f*ck yourself,’” declares the actress.
And Lawrence is the first to admit her love of junk food.
She tells the magazine, “My bodyguard Gilbert , right before they call ‘action,’ I’m like, ‘If there aren’t Cheez-Its here by the time they call cut, just go home.’”
“And he’ll start running,” says Lawrence. “It cracks me up how seriously he takes it… It’s not my performance that is motivating me. I want to get the on-set catering.”

Miley Cyrus: I’m A “Bad B*tch” + MORE Highlights From The Movement Doc

image

Miley Cyrus ’ MTV documentary , “The Movement,” aired on Wednesday, with the singer explaining how she’s gone from “Hannah Montana” to being “the bad b*tch I really am.”
The starlet insists that she’s not going through a “transition,” but is actually starting a “movement.”
“Every decision goes into a bigger plan…,” she says of her recent choices. “For me, the movement has to be
bigger than just a record. For me, a movement represents like taking over the world.”
Cyrus goes on, “It’s not a transition… I’m the same human. I’ve got the same heart I did five years ago.”
With her early success on Disney’s “Hannah,” the former actress says she’s “never been like a normal person because I’ve had to grow up so quick.”
Following an attempt at movies after the end of the show, Cyrus says she decided she’s “never doing that again. I’m gonna do music for the rest of my life.”
Cyrus spent three months in Philadelphia earlier this year working on her Bangerz album, which she calls “the best time of my life.”
“I was in a little apartment, and I was like a real person for a minute,” she recalls, relishing the anonymity the location afforded her.
It was then that the star decided to shed her locks for her now-infamous platinum pixie cut, saying, “I felt like I had to let go of the past in a way” and “open up.”
“I felt like I could finally be the bad b*tch I really am,” explains Cyrus.
She goes on to say that she put her new record “before everything else in my life,” noting that if she doesn’t “make this the biggest thing,” she will have “sacrificed” a lot for nothing.
Cyrus says she still finds inspiration in one of her earliest idols, Britney Spears.
“Everything’s about what’s going to be the biggest moment in pop culture…,” says the singer.
“She’s got so many of those moments that people will never forget. It’s about living and being in that moment.”
Of course, Cyrus did have her own VMAs moment in August, a performance she calls “a strategic
hot mess.”
With the success of “We Can’t Stop,” Cyrus says she now has “this freedom to do whatever I want, because people trust me.”
“Right now I’m at a point in my career where I can be exactly where I want to be,” says the “Wrecking Ball” songstress, confessing that she doesn’t worry about “repercussions.”
Cyrus points out that “at the end of the day, the person that has to be happy is me,” and speculates that many consumers get bent out of shape “watching people grow up” because they feel not just a “connection” to a star they’ve followed for years, but also “entitled.”
A self-described “control freak,” the singer says “if I’m gonna do it, it has to be the biggest and the best.”
“Everyone has to be somewhat the same, and I wanna be the one that goes against that,” she explains. ”I want people to continue to think they’ve draw a line.”
Cyrus further says, “We’re in 2013. I live in America where we’re the land of the free, and I feel like if you can’t express yourself, you’re not very free.”
“Any time I do something, I want to remember this is what separates me from everybody else,” says the chart-topper, adding, “There’s no other life for me but entertaining. I was like born to
become who I am right now.”
Citing the response to her VMA performance (which she says was meant to be “funny” and not a “raunchy sex show), Cyrus says she doesn’t “pay attention to the negative,” noting, “You’re always going to be making people talk. You might as well make them talk for two weeks rather than two
seconds.”
“This is now people getting to see what the movement is really about…,” explains Cyrus. “I’m just smiling, having fun, loving life. That’s why I can’t complain, because when I look behind me, I can’t believe it’s real.”
She adds, “Right now I still feel like I’m beginning.”

Justin Bieber WON’T Be Prosecuted in Spitting, Speeding Cases: Report

image

Justin Bieber will NOT be prosecuted for two high-profile incidents earlier this year, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s
Office has reportedly decided.
As I previously reported in March, the teen superstar was accused of spitting on his neighbor and making a criminal
threat against the resident when the unidentified male went on to Bieber’s property to chastise him for allegedly speeding in their gated community.
The D.A. has reportedly determined that there wasn’t enough evidence to pursue the case, with the specifics amounting to just Bieber’s word versus that of the complainant.
The neighbor is said to have actually saved Bieber’s supposed spit, however, and reported to the police that the
performer threatened, “I will beat the sh*t out of you and I will f*cking kill you.”
But while the D.A.’s office says the singer’s response was “disproportionate and immature,” “since the neighbor had entered the property without invitation, Bieber’s actions did not rise to the level of a criminal threat.”
In the second case, Bieber was under investigation for reckless driving after former NFL player Keyshawn Johnson accused him of speeding through their neighborhood in his Ferarri in May.
But the D.A. has concluded via surveillance footage that Bieber wasn’t actually driving the vehicle at the time, but riding his motorcycle behind the car in question, reports TMZ.
Furthermore, Bieber’s pal Tyler the Creator has said he was the one behind the wheel.
Both cases were rejected for prosecution, and are now officially closed.
