Katy Perry was ‘contact high’ while recording with Snoop Dogg.
The pretty popstar collaborated with the rapper on 2010 hit California Gurls. Katy has now confessed that she and her band members became intoxicated by fumes from the marijuana joints that Snoop was smoking when they were in the studio together.
‘It was really cool. He came by the studio, played the song and rolled a ‘J’,’ she is quoted as saying by British newspaper The Sun.
‘Everybody was contact high. But he was super-cool and he’s been around forever.’
Katy has fond memories of working with Snoop, who has recently been referred to as Snoop Lion and now Snoopzilla. She feared coming face-to face with the rap legend might be a let down, but he didn’t disappoint.
“It’s really amazing if you meet someone that’s been around for 20 to 25 years and they’re still cool, because sometimes they ain’t,’ the 28-year-old singer smiled.
Snoop has a new album coming out next month, 7 Days of Funk. He decided he needed a fresh moniker, Snoopzilla, to complement the new material he has recorded with Dam-Funk.
“We’re the babies of the Mothership,” he said in a statement last week. “I’ve had funk influences in my music my whole career. Dam-Funk is cold. He’s keeping the funk alive and I knew I had to get down with him.”

The 16-year-old singer – real name Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O’Connor – is behind catchy track Royals, which hit number one in the US Billboard Hot 100.
Earlier this month she suffered an unfortunate bout of food poisoning while performing in Brisbane.
“This was the worst thing ever!” she exclaimed to Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O.
“Before I went on stage I hurled and it was gross, but I thought, ‘I’ve just got to get through this show.’ And I got through, it but halfway through the last song I just could not stay anymore. I dropped the mic and ran off stage and had to vomit into a bin. It was so gross, but I fully felt like a rockstar.”
In hit track Royals, Lorde references a lavish lifestyle, claiming she can live without luxuries such as Cristal champagne and jet planes.
While she might be raking money in now, the curly-haired singer is yet to splash out on anything extravagant.
“My dad has control of my bank account. I wouldn’t be good at being super lavish,” she mused.
“I actually bought a queen-size bed the other day. [My parents] were like, ‘If you want this you have to buy it.’ It’s good, I haven’t been looking back!”
The New Zealand-born star is currently touring Australia with her band.
She also takes her mother along for moral support, who she says doesn’t compromise her street cred.
“My mom’s been travelling with me. Oh man, my mom is the coolest, she’s a dude,” Lorde laughed.
“She’s a mom, but a cool one.”

The singer and British actress Michelle broke up over a year ago, and she is now engaged to someone else. But Max is clearly having a hard time coming to terms with the split, writing about the experience for The Wanted’s new album.
‘We’ve written about tough experiences we’ve had in our lives over the years ‘ relationship breakdowns and that sort of thing,’ Max told UK newspaper the Mirror.
‘I’ve written about my break-up with Michelle. I’ve written a couple of songs about it and the experiences I went through. There’s one song called Heartbreak Story, which is definitely close to me.’
Max, 25, and Michelle, 26, dated for 18 months and split in July 2012 after reports surfaced about Max cheating on her. Although both Max and Michelle have moved on with their lives, the song Heartbreak Story has very apologetic lyrics.
‘Just say you’ll let me in your heart. I should’ve been there from the start. I promise you as long as you’re with me, there’ll never be a heartbreak story,’ the lyrics read.
Max makes it clear in the song that he’s sorry for hurting Katherine and wishes he could go back in time and regain her trust. Although the track is about love lost, Max doesn’t indicate that he and Michelle should try again.
‘Girl there is no need to hide away what’s done is done now,’ the lyrics continue. ‘He gave you up and then he let you down and all the trust is broken now, he can’t remember how it used to be, it doesn’t have to be a heartbreak story.’
Max is currently dating Danish underwear model Nina Agdal.

The One Direction star found fame with his bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne on The X Factor UK.

One Direction are currently busy with the Australian leg of their Take Me Home Tour.
While they’ve been having a good time, 19-year-old Harry can’t help but feel disappointed at the lack of traditions he’s experienced Down Under.
“Thinking about it, I’ve been in Australia for a while now and nobody has put any shrimp on any barbies,” he mused on Twitter.
“It’s the last show in Brisbane tonight, it’s been a lot of fun so far. Thank you everyone who came .. You were very loud. Xx (sic).”
Liam, 20, has had an eventful time in Oz, rescuing girls hanging out behind their hotel from a snake habitat and encountering an overzealous fan who stole his underwear.
It seems his experiences have made him a little wary about coming face to face with his followers.
“Sorry I couldn’t say hi in the end there just got too many people in the end xxx was nice to see you all though on a lovely Brisbane morning (sic),” he apologised.
