Jennifer Lopez Linked to Lawsuit in Bizarre Catfish Hoax Involving Naked Pictures

Jennifer Lopez is allegedly indirectly involved in a bizarre catfish scheme in which a man was tricked into sending naked photos to someone he believed was the performer.
Rodrigo Ruiz has filed a $10,000 lawsuit against Lopez in Los Angeles, alleging that she randomly contacted him in 2008 and asked that he send her nude photos and his demo CDs.
According to the documents obtained by TMZ, Ruiz received letters from (a phony) “Lopez” in which she tells him how “interested” she is in him, and that she has “plans on leaving my husband.” “Lopez” instructed Ruiz to send “pictures of you both with clothes and without clothes” on multiple occasions.
At one point, the correspondence gets even more graphic.
Ruiz subsequently filed a police report claiming sexual harassment against Lopez (whom he still believes is behind the letters), as well as the lawsuit.
But records show that the post office box from which the letters originated belongs to a fifty-something Los Angeles woman — who hung up on TMZ when they asked about the matter.
A rep for Lopez says that she’s had zero contact with Ruiz, and that the matter is a “desperate attempt for notoriety.”
