Lil Wayne settled his beef with Drake, who slept with his girlfriend, by concluding, “F*** that ho!” … this according to a book treatment he’s shopping around to publishers.
We’ve obtained additional pages of the treatment, which tie up the story we told you about Friday — that Drake visited him while he was at Rikers Island and told him the day before Weezy hooked up with his girlfriend, Drake slept with her. According to the treatment, Drake said, “I did f*** her.” Apparently, Weezy decided the GF was too loose for his taste, because in the treatment he concludes, “As a man, I’ll admit that shit really f****d me up, but hey, **** that ho!” He added, “Love is blind, that’s why I say make sure that bitch is a seeing eye dog.”
Sure, Lil Wayne could have freaked out when he found out Drake banged his GF — but instead he chilled … mostly because he was locked up on Riker’s Island at the time. But now, Weezy’s found a way to cash in on Drizzy’s prolific penis — by writing a book about it.
Nicki Minaj is under fire for allegedly using Nazi imagery in her new lyric video for “Only.” As i reported, the newly-released track features the star, Drake , and Lil Wayne rapping about whether or not they “f*cked.” While the lyrics have raised eyebrows for their sexual content, its the lyric video that’s now causing a bigger controversy.
The black-and-white video is reminiscent of propaganda films from World War II. Minaj appears in a cartoon form, as a dictator whose soldiers wear red armbands that are drawing comparisons to those the Nazis wore.
Flags with an overlapping Y-M symbol (representing label Young Money) are being compared to swastikas. Chris Brown , who sings the hook, appears animated in a soldier uniform as explosions go off. A cartoon Drake portrays a priest, while Wayne is animated as a suited businessman, with warfare and gas masks shown.
Nicki Minaj talked about all things Drake on the radio show “Capital Xtra.”
The rapper explained why she would never date Drake, saying, “He is perfect but I don’t know about guys in the industry… I think two artists [dating], that’s hard.”
Still, Minaj had some advice for ladies who want to win Drake over.
“I think what works with Drake is if you act like you don’t like him. Be horrible to him,” she joked.
Minaj added, “I’m kidding. I think he likes intellectual women actually. He likes fat a**es, but I think he likes a girl who can hold a conversation.”
Drake and Lil Wayne are going on tour together.
The rappers announced plans on Thursday for their co-headlining “Drake vs. Lil Wayne” tour.
The 31-city tour will kick off on August 8, starting in Darien City, New York and wrap up in Woodlands, Texas.
Tickets go on sale June 20.
Well, this isn’t going to do much to stop those Rihanna and Drake romance rumors.
After stepping out for a dinner date in Amsterdam Thursday, the “Take Care” collaborators were back together again Saturday, grabbing dinner in London.
For this particular occasion, Rihanna was dressed casually in a Dead Boys Clubhouse hooded sweatshirt, a black coat, and ripped jeans, while Drake was suited up in a dark grey coat and jeans.
This is the second time in just days that the duo was spotted out together, after they wined and dined at a sushi restaurant in Amsterdam. Before that, they headed to Soixante Dix Neuf nightclub in Paris, where Drake was on hand to help the venue celebrate its first birthday.
Drake opens up about Rihanna and Kanye West and slams Macklemore in a new Rolling Stone story that’s already sparked controversy after the rapper said he was “disgusted” it was removed from the cover in favor of Philip Seymour Hoffman .
The performer says he’s OK with the fun people have with his image as a vulnerable alternative to the tough hip-hop old guard.
“There’s these GIFs about me, these stupid stereotypes people have of me as this overly emotional character that cries in his room every night,” he tells the magazine. “There are jokes because of Degrassi , because I’m Canadian, because I make music for women. There are memes of guys crying to my music. I love it. I heart those photos when I see them on Instagram.”
Drake recently skipped the Grammys in order to party with Rihanna — leading to renewed speculation about their relationship.
He sets the record straight in Rolling Stone , explaining that while they were romantic in the past, they’re now just friends.
“She’s the ultimate fantasy,” he says. “I mean, I think about it. Like, ‘Man, that would be good.’ We have fun together, she’s cool and sh*t. But we’re just friends. That’s my dog for life.”
Does he have a girlfriend right now?
Drake reveals, “I’m not after p*ssy like I was three years ago, when I was trying to make up for all the years when no girl would talk to me. But I haven’t met somebody that makes everybody else not matter.”
The hip-hop star says he’s not completely happy with the Grammys, even though he won for Best Rap Album last year.
“It becomes more apparent how irrelevant our genre is to them,” he explains. “They were trying to utilize me to sell the show, requesting me to come and perform ‘Hold On We’re Going Home’… but they didn’t nominate it for anything! They’re calling me, e-mailing me every day to do some elaborate performance and bring them viewers, but I didn’t get a nomination for Album of the Year. I didn’t get a nomination for Song of the Year.”
Speaking of the Grammys, Drake did not think much of Macklemore’s decision to apologize for robbing Kendrick Lamar of an award via text message.
“That sh*t was wack as f*ck,” he tells Rolling Stone . “I was like, ‘You won. Why are you posting your text messages? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn’t deserve it, go get better – make better music.’ It felt cheap. It didn’t feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt?”
Drake continues, “You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won? This is how the world works: He made a brand of music that appealed to more people than me, Hov, Kanye and Kendrick.
Whether people wanna say it’s racial, or whether it’s just the fact that he tapped into something we can’t tap into. That’s just how the cards fall. Own your sh*t.”
He also opens up about the perceived tension between him and West and Jay Z , fed by some provocative lyrics in his music.
“Kanye and me are friends; we’re plotting on getting some work done together,” says Drake, also revealing that Jay Z sends him encouraging texts.
“It was a lack of communication paired with natural competitiveness,” Drake says to explain the misconception of bad blood. “When something monumental is happening in front of me [like West and Jay Z’s Watch the Throne album] and everyone’s paying attention to that, you gotta say, ‘I’m still here.’ But those two are gods to me.”
He still feels free to offer criticism of West when he feels it’s valid.
Referring to the Yeezus album, Drake says, ”There were some real questionable bars on there. Like that ‘Swaghili’ line? Come on, man. Even Fabolous wouldn’t say some sh*t like that.”
That said, “Kanye’s the reason I’m here. I love everything about that guy.”
Drake opened his “SNL” monologue by talking about being both black and Jewish.
He recalled his bar mitzvah, and then had a flashback to the special occasion.
His relatives were, not surprisingly, stereotypes of Jews and blacks.
There was even a cameo by his black aunt, played by Sasheer Zamata in her “SNL” debut, saying “Mazel tov!”
Zamata is the first black female star on “Saturday Night Live” since Maya Rudolph left several years ago.
Later, Drake rapped about being black and Jewish, and celebrating Hanukkah and dating Rihanna -ka.
Kendrick Lamar seems to diss Drake in a new verse he rapped during a freestyle “cypher” taped in conjunction with the BET Hip-Hop Awards.
Back in August, Lamar made waves when he called out Drake and other big names on Big Sean’s “Control.”
In the new footage, the performer takes on Drake’s sensitive persona and new album title ( Nothing Was The Same ), rapping, “And nothing’s been the same since they dropped ‘Control’ / And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes/Ha-ha, joke’s on you.”
